What an amazing place. It's so magical and you can feel a comection with our mother nature. The mountains are so unique and beautiful. Here you will meet people from all around the world. For sure I will go there again.

3. A little while later we get another call from him and he explains the 12:30 (1:30) shuttle has been cancelled. He said we can come back and get a refund. I said "I don't want a refund, this whole trip was planned around us backpacking the Narrows, figure out how to get us there." He said that was not possible and I should come back for my refund. We had waited around a total of 6 hours at this point and we were done being jerked around.

2. I tell my fiancé and we have no choice but to run because all of the town shuttles are already full. We put on our 30 pound packs and I run ahead. Somehow I made it before 9:30, but there was no shuttle. I called the kid at the desk and he said he would call the shuttle driver....radio silence for 30-45 minutes......We later found out the shuttle left early because he had no idea we were supposed to come. The message was never COMMUNICATED to the shuttle driver.

Fast forward to the new shuttle pickup time - we call the office to make sure everything is still according to plan. Kid proceeds to tell us traffic is bad and the shuttle will be an hour late. That's understandable...it was Labor Day weekend and there were people everywhere! We were annoyed, but we understood that is out of their hands.

My first go at rappelling was a half day canyoneering with Spencer as our guide. His calm, confident and experienced manner put me at ease and l was thrilled to do a drop of 90 feet. We had such fun and appreciated Zion National Park in a completely new way. An absolutely wonderful experience.

1. We had to park at ZR&MG building because the park was already full by 8am. We were never told that we still had to make it back to the flagpole at the visitors center. We had been sitting out front for 30-45 minutes and I went inside and asked when the shuttle leaves to go pick up the other people. He proceeded to tell me I have 15 minutes to get 1 1/2 miles. He never COMMUNICATED with me that we would have to make it back to the park on our own. He proceeded to say "you can either take the town shuttle or start running!" ....and then seemed to think it was funny and chuckle about it with his friends

This is a must do in the Zion area! We had Matt as a guide and it was awesome. He made all of us feel safe and comfortable even though none of our group had ever repelled. We are had a total blast and saw some of the best slot canyons in the park. I would feel comfortable with my 10 year old daughter going along on this trip.

Now for the part I do not like writing....I suppose this whole experience can be chalked up to poor communication from the kid working the office that morning.

We get back to the office. This is when we see Graham and he selflessly drives the 1 1/2 hours each way to take us up. Thank you Graham. You turned around a nightmare of a trip into an incredible and unforgettable experience just like we hoped for.

The staff was awesome. Very well knowledge in climbing and the areas. Very helpful with us, being climbing rookies. Matt was awesome. Thank you again.

First off Graham is awesome!! He turned around an absolutely horrible experience. He went out of his way to drive us up to the Narrows top-down hike. He's not even a shuttle driver and I'm pretty sure he was supposed to be off work. When he walked in and saw how unhappy we were, as we were requesting a refund, he immediately asked what was wrong and selflessly offered to drive us up. Graham deserves a raise for the incredible way that he portrays your company. His immediate positive attitude and empathy towards our situation was incredible and everyone at ZR&MG should learn how to empathize with customers like he did.

This is a tough review and I've been putting it off because it was both a super positive experience and an extremely negative experience. I feel like the full story needs to be addressed to really understand our frustration.

At this point we were told we can wait for the next shuttle, 2 hours from now, or come back to the shop and get a refund. We decided to wait it out since we had an overnight permit and traveled from LA just to do the Narrows from the top down.
